LOL. SMH. So apparently Roger Stephens was in a Walmart in Atlanta and heard this baby crying. He threatened the baby’s mother to quiet the child or he will. After failed attempts to quiet the child, Roger Stephens walked over and picked up the child and slapped it 4 or 5 times across the face. Wow. That is reckless. Is it just me or has Urban culture gone a little bit crazy with this Gucci obsession?  This one, I’d say, is safe to blame on the rappers (don’t tell Bill O’Reilly I said that).  For the past year or so, rappers have gotten a little carried away with wearing Gucci everything.  I guess it’s the in thing right now.  Nevertheless, it looks ridiculous.

Gucci shades, Gucci watch, Gucci hat, Gucci polo, Gucci jacket, Gucci loafers, etc. etc. etc.  Heck, the other day I was watching MTV Cribs and saw Soulja Boy’s Gucci sheets and pillow cases……really, Soulja Boy? 

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m by no means anti-Gucci.  I just feel as though Gucci clothing and accessories should not be paraded around by entertainers as the trendy flavor of the month, because it’s not. 

Unlike BAPE hoodies and shutter glasses, Gucci has been around since long before Hip-Hop fashion trends and there’s no end in sight.  It is for that precise reason that rappers should let this whole Gucci fixation go.  I hereby declare that no rapper should be allowed to make a mockery of themselves by wearing Gucci from head to toe……..well, maybe except for Gucci Mane……but that’s it.

This lovely young woman pictured above is Katherine Nadal hailing all the way from Texas. What did she do to achieve SMH status? She is accused of cutting off her infant (five weeks old) son’s genitals and claiming that the dog did it. SMH. This incident occurred back in 2007 and the trial is now beginning. Nadal told police that she was sleeping and when she woke up, she saw the injuries to the infant and immediately thought it was the dog. The problem is that the vet and doctor from Houston Animal Control concluded that there was no way the injuries were caused by the dog because the cuts were too clean. Nadal and her defense team still stick to the dog story. SMH. If Nadal is convicted, she can face up to life in prison. She must have been on drugs or something far worse to pull off something like this. It’s actually pretty sad. Some people shouldn’t have kids.

I know I already posted an SMH but I couldn’t let this one slide. SMH. But hey, at least it’s the Gucci edition. lol. No further comment.

For today’s SMH moment we have Boston Police Officer Justin Barrett. Some of you may know him as the man who called Henry Louis Gates Jr. a “banana-eating jungle monkey” and has the nerve to declare that he’s not racist. LOL. Just when I thought this man couldn’t get any more entertaining (and i use the term loosely), he decides to sue the commissioner and mayor of the city of Boston for causing him pain and suffering, post-traumatic stress, sleeplessness, etc.

He is bold for this one. What I don’t get is why he won’t admit he is racist. All he has to do is stand by his words and people wouldn’t look at him as such a D-Bag. I mean, He would still be a racist but an honest one. He claims to always treat citizens with the upmost respect but he writes a letter liek that to the Boston Globe. Lol. He is basing his lawsuit on the fact that the mayor made  a statement like “He’s Gone, G-O-N-E” without him having a trial to decide his future. I know this racism exists but it usually doesn’t hit the mainstream like this anymore. But it seems like there is still a lot more work to be done.
